Shipping and payment

We ship worldwide from Saigon. Everything below is what we tell you in writing before you pay, written down here so there is nothing to discover later.

How your parcel travels

Orders leave the workshop by DHL or FedEx with tracking end to end. Vietnam to North America and Europe is typically five to nine working days once the piece is finished; the making time is the long part, not the shipping.

Anything over $300 ships signed-for and insured for its full value. That is not upselling: if a parcel goes missing, a signature at delivery is the only evidence that settles a dispute, and without it the payment rules side with the buyer by default.

We give you the tracking number the day the parcel leaves. If it stalls in transit we chase the courier ourselves rather than asking you to.

Import duty and taxes are yours

We ship on DDU terms — Delivered Duty Unpaid. The shipping cost we quote covers carriage to your address and nothing else. Whatever your country charges in import duty, VAT, GST or customs handling is billed to you by the courier, usually before they hand the parcel over. We cannot calculate those for you because every country sets them differently, and we cannot mark a parcel as a gift or understate its value to reduce them. Check your own thresholds before you order.

Paying from outside Vietnam

Orders shipping abroad are paid in full when you accept the quote. Same reason returns do not apply to them: international shipping in both directions usually costs more than the piece. We send a written quote first, and you pay only after you have it.

What we accept

PayPal
Being set up now. Ask and we will tell you where it stands today.
Visa and Mastercard
Being set up now, through our US entity.
Bank transfer
Available today. We send the account details with your quote.

We would rather say this plainly than let you find it at checkout: card and PayPal payments are not switched on yet. Until they are, an order goes through by bank transfer, and we walk you through it.

Protected leathers cross borders slowly

Crocodile, alligator and ostrich need a CITES export permit from Vietnam, and your country has to permit the import. Add two to four weeks. Some countries — the United States in particular — inspect these shipments closely and will seize a parcel with incomplete paperwork. We do not ship them without the permit in hand.
